Ivan Perisic will not be moving to Manchester United
Monday, August 28, 2017
Croatia coach Ante Cacic has confirmed that Manchester United target Ivan Perisic will continue at Inter Milan this season.
The 28-year-old winger has been the subject of intense speculation this summer, with rumours that Manchester United were on the verge of completing a deal for the Croatian.
However, Inter remained stubborn negotiators and kept knocking back offers from the Red Devils, and United were not willing to match their hefty asking price.
There was recent speculation that they could look to rekindle the negotiations in the final days of the window, but the chances of a deal are increasingly remote.
And Croatia coach Cacic stressed that the winger is happy at Inter under new coach Luciano Spalletti with the club working on a new contract for the player.
He was quoted as saying by Calciomercato.com: “Perisic is happy at Inter.
“The new coach appreciates him a lot and they are preparing a new contract for him.”
